It is often at this time of year – Thanksgiving – when we sit down at the table with family and friends, that we reflect upon the things we are thankful for. In these moments, our mind sometimes wanders to the future, daydreaming of distant travels and experiences and where the next year might take us.
This drink is inspired by those daydreams, and the flavours of fall. Combining seasonal pumpkin with Angostura bitters and a dash of balsamic vinegar for warmth and richness.

What You Need
2oz (60ml) Shackleton Blended Malt Whisky
0.35oz (10ml) Re’al pumpkin syrup
3 dashes Angostura bitters
Dash balsamic vinegar
Zest of a lemon
Mix all ingredients together in a glass over ice – we suggest using a classic, old fashioned glass for the job.
Carefully cut a strip of zest from a lemon using a peeler. Gently twist the zest back and forth with your fingers to release the aroma, but then discard. Enjoy with loved ones.
